I am raising money for an amazing charity. 2 Wish Upon A Star provides bereavement support for families who have suddenly and traumatically lost a child or young adult aged 25 years and under.

Every day throughout the month of February 2021 I will be rowing 5 kilometres at a pace no less than 5 mins/km on maximum resistance.

That's a total distance of 140 kilometres in 28 days.

I'm putting myself through this because I have personally witnessed the devastating effect of a death of a child or young person can have on a family. Through my work as an Emergency Physician I have had to deliver such devastating news to families. Nothing comes close to the anguish I have seen in the eyes of a family who's precious child or young person has been taken from them far too soon or far too suddenly.

2 Wish Upon A Star step into this maelstrom of emotion and support such families through their darkest times.

I don't think I can adequately do justice to the work they do, but they are now integral to our work in hospitals and beyond.

So please, donate anything you can to these wonderful people.

I am happy to suffer through the physical pain to help 2 Wish Upon A Star to support those going through unimaginable worse pain.
