Greetings family and friends,
We ask you to join us in bearing witness to this time of both grief and remembrance. Our beloved Farah departed this world, ascending into the heavens the morning of February 4.
Her sudden passing not only reminds us of how fleeting and precious life is, but also how much life one can fit into just 45 years, as Farah did.
Born in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1971, Farah grew up surrounded by natural beauty, a beauty she gracefully mirrored and brought to every room she entered.
Farah's appetite for all things magical, mysterious, and artistic made her unforgettable to those fortunate enough to meet her, know her, and love her.
In 2016, she journeyed to the U.S., marrying Carl Stein in the company of family and friends the afternoon of October 29. The long-awaited wedding had been years in the making, and was joyously celebrated by all who attended.

In keeping with Farah’s reverence for the natural world, she requested that all who attended the union of Carl and herself wear shades of blue, a testament to the dreamy allure of the ocean she grew up admiring.

It is Carl, Farah's partner in life, who is her guardian in death, safely keeping Farah's ashes until a possible return to her home to Indonesia is made.
Not knowing it would be her last expression of love for Carl, Farah had sent a surprise Valentine’s Day card through the mail, which he received just days after her death. Even in her passing, Farah’s unforgettable kindness lives on.

As such, her spirit will be fondly remembered and thoughtfully celebrated by the many she touched throughout the world.
Carl is working toward a Celebration Of Life brunch in honor of Farah and is grateful for the donations towards expences.
More news will be shared as it becomes available.
