My sweet cat Faraday just returned home after 5 long nights in the ER to treat his blocked bladder (which is fatal when not treated promptly/correctly). It was an incredibly frightening experience, but thanks to the amazing vets at Modern Animal and Animal AM in Pasadena, he was able to recover!

While the choice to move forward with Faraday's life-saving treatment was easy in one way (I'd walk off the earth for Faraday), it was challenging in another (walking off the earth isn't an acceptable form of payment).

For the past two years, money has been tight for me and Alec - who've relied on unemployment checks and food stamps during much of the pandemic. But thanks to a new job and years' worth of savings, I was in the very privileged position of being able to afford Faraday's bills and still make rent. I can't tell you how relieving it was to KNOW I could help Faraday, even if it would make the next few months harder on us.

So before you consider donating, please know that Faraday is back home and healthy, currently on medication and a diet that should help him from re-blocking. Your GoFundMe donation would alleviate the financial stress from the bills I have already paid that helped save Faraday's life. Any donation amount would be HUGE to us - especially in the event that Faraday needs to revisit the hospital. (I'm not asking for the full amount of bills, just what would really help me out.)
