edit*** Alexander has gotten pretty bad in the last month he has been signed to hospice, and a week ago was placed onto a pain drip to help keep pain maintained and him as comfortable as possible. I have been out of work for a week and do not plan on returning until he passes from us. he deserves to have me in his presence making this as easy for him as possible. if I could get some help for bills and even expenses for after.
Anything for my family is appreciated***
My family has had a lot of tragedy fall upon us in the last year. It began with the death of my Mother last August with struggles to stay afloat in the grieve Alexander fell ill, we didn't know what was wrong, and he lost many hours each week to not have enough strength for work.
He had gotten so bad we went to the E.R., where he stayed overnight and had several scans and tests done saying he had some 'about to erupt blood vessels.' After they released him and told him to take Tylenol within two days, I took him to Tulsa S.F., and he was there for almost two weeks before they found out it was Cancer. He then stayed in the hospital for two more months and reaching way under 100 lbs.
I don't know if you've dealt with being told your fiance has Cancer, but I will tell you how I felt when the surgeon come out told me it was way worse than anyone expected. (Done dead and wanting to give up!! But I know I am this family's light so head up to me!) Alexander was diagnosed with Stage Four Metastatic Colon Cancer given six months to live.
Now, this was in February, Yes we beat that timeframe, and we are shooting for more.
I am reaching out now because when Alex got sick, I lost his income of him working 40 hours a week. I have been doing my absolute best I can to keep this family afloat with staying as true to myself as possible and helping others when they need me. I can not, however, due to this on my own, and I realize that now. With Alexander gaining an ostomy bag, those add up fast along with the other supplies needed for the changes and everyday life, like a special spray for smell or medicine for pain, yes he is a fond believer of medicine. Alexander has asked me to marry him, and I would love to have a ceremony and still not feel strangled by life and bills. We are parents to a beautiful baby girl, and I have been granted the best bonus child ever to ask for.
I never thought I would be the person to ask for help like this but, friends, family, and even strangers from wherever this reaches know I am grateful and cherish all of your prayers and kind words.
Kindness is more than donating; it's reminding me I'm strong!!
