Faolan's Fight (Ewing Sarcoma )
Donation protected
Faolan Doty is in every way just like any four year old boy—he loves trains, trucks and dinosaurs, his favorite colors are green and blue and he wants to be a policeman just like lots of little boys do. One Enormous thing singles him out—He has Cancer. On march 14th, 2015 Faolan’s life and the lives of those who love him were changed forever. He was riding in the car with his Dad Jaron, Mommy Erin, Big Sister Zara (5) and Little Brother Edward (3mos). They were driving in the rain, hit a puddle and hydroplaned into a car in the next lane. Everyone was a bit shaken up, but no one was significantly injured except for four year old Faolan; who suffered a fractured collarbone and leg. While performing x-rays to confirm the extent of his injuries the doctors found a tumor on his pelvic bone and a biopsy confirmed it to be cancerous. ‘Ewing Sarcoma’—is a rare bone and soft tissue cancer that is seen typically in kids 10-15. It is even more so rare for a four year old. That car accident was the biggest blessing Faolan and his family could receive. Had it not rained that day they might not have found the cancer in time to enable treatment. Faolan is the sweetest boy you could possibly meet. He is SO funny! He's a very talented meticulous little artist. He is very hands on and loves fixing things alongside his Dad. He was born with a servant’s heart and a hand to lend. He loves playing Pokemon, the “foot” end of the bread loaf, and helping to care for his little brother Edward. Edward was born last December with a double cleft and he requires special care. Faolan is very close to his sister Zara. They are “Irish Twins” born 11 months apart. For two weeks this summer they will both be five years old. Faolan is
starting his treatment at St.Jude’s in Memphis, TN. He will endure radiation, chemo-therapy and possibly surgery among other awful procedures. With two young sons having significant medical issues Jaron and Erin are often overwhelmed as it requires hands on attention from both parents to be able to help Faolan fight off this cancer and make sure that Edward is gaining the weight needed to proceed with the surgeries that he will require. They could use any help that they can get. Send them an inspirational note, a meal or diapers and by all means Please Say a Prayer! There is also an account set-up for donations to help their family. The specifics are below. It certainly does take a village, a family, and love to raise a child. This one needs a miracle. Thank you in
advance for anything that you can do to help. Keep up the Prayers…
