Fany Avila

Hi. This message is on behalf of our amazing friend Fany Avila and her children - Aidan and Kennedy. Many of you may have heard that Fany suffered a Major stroke around eight weeks ago that had left her in a coma. For quite some time, we have all been concerned whether she would make it through this ordeal. Being the fighter that Fany has always been and with the assistance of everyone's prayers, she had an Easter Miracle and is now starting to respond. With that excellent news, Fany has a long and challenging recovery in front of her. There will be many months of rehab and nursing that she will need. Unfortunately this will cause a major strain financially for both her and her family as she does not have health insurance at the current. We are doing everything in our power to get her qualified for Medicaid which will definitely help her cause. The hospital is also assisting us in getting Fany into an Assisted Living Facility under charitable care. They have mentioned that Fany may have to relocate to another part of the state for her recovery. This will put an even more significant financial strain on her family to find a way to be closer to her. The funds collected will be used both for Fany's care and travel/living expenses to allow her family to be closer to her. Any help you can give, either financially or in any other way, is greatly appreciated by all of us.
