Fanta- Ansu charity foundation tree planting project 2025.

The Fanta-Ansu Charity Foundation has done many tree planting activities in rural communities to promote reforestation and income generation from fruit trees.

Last year, we managed to distribute 1,000 tree seedlings to rural Gambian communities. This activity is critical to reforestation in an area where desertification is common and trees are being cut down for charcoal/firewood production. Local youths and villagers will be involved in the activity, learning the benefit of tree planting and how to effectively transplant trees so that they will survive into the future.

Additionally, I, Lamin F Jammeh, and my team have years of applicable experience, and as Gambians we have local knowledge about conditions in the village, allowing us to execute projects in a sustainable manner.

As a part of this world, it’s our responsibility to take care of every living thing and help the environment thrive. The goal of this environmental service project is to encourage youths and their communities to prepare for the significant roles they will play in creating an equitable future for all, as we face the complex climate change challenges of the present and future.

Our foundation has been holding tree planting events every summer in rural communities in The Gambia for more than seven years, and we hope to continue this trend with your support.

We are looking for donations because rural communities in The Gambia have been suffering serious consequences of deforestation and desertification. Activities done now will set the precedent for the future and benefit the community for decades to come.

The foundation already has agreements with a number of communities, and we are expecting more to come.
