My sweet wife, Steph, is turning 50 on March 29th of this year. She's been playing violin for 41 of those years.

She has her heart set on this gorgeous, high-quality electric violin that will make her heart sing - and allow her to perform without worrying that her delicate acoustic violin will be subject to the risks of travel and public performance. There are a bunch of reasonable and logical reasons to support her having this violin, but mostly it's because the idea of it makes her happy - the way she gets happy when she sees an adorable animal, or a dear friend, or hears tires on a gravel road. If you've seen Steph's particular look of joy, you know the world is better when she's got it.
The goal of $3,719 is the full cost of a brand-new perfect violin, but we'll be keeping an eye on the B-stock ones that could cost just half that. If we have any excess after the violin (and a bow), Steph will choose a musically focused charity to benefit from your generosity.
