What should have been the start of a beautiful new chapter for Danaijah Jackson and Tariji Cone, the daughters of Terri Pollock, has become an unimaginable tragedy. After helping Danaijah move into college at Florida A&M University, Terri was killed in a devastating crash in the Tallahassee area on Aug. 20, 2026, during a heavy storm. Terri was a devoted single mother, a provider, and a fighter who had just celebrated a major milestone of her own by earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing in May 2026. In that same ceremony, Danaijah graduated with both her associate degree and high school diploma. The family had been preparing to celebrate Danaijah’s next chapter as a first-year college student, a moment that should have been filled with pride, joy, and promise. Instead, their lives changed forever.

At the same time, 13-year-old Tariji was also in the vehicle during the crash. Tariji broke several bones and remains in critical condition, fighting for life and facing a long road of recovery. Just months after that proud mother-daughter milestone, Danaijah is now beginning college while grieving the loss of Terri and praying for Tariji’s healing. The family is now facing funeral expenses for Terri, college expenses for Danaijah, and extensive medical expenses for Tariji, including ongoing care and physical therapy. These funds will help ease the financial burden on Terri’s daughters and their loved ones so they can focus on healing, recovery, and honoring Terri’s life. No donation is too small. Every gift makes a difference for this grieving family. Please donate if you can, share this fundraiser, and keep the Pollock, Jackson, Hicks, and Yarborough family in your prayers.
