Wednesday night at about 7:30 pm my life turned into a nightmare. We received a phone call from kannapolis fire department that the house we were living in was gone. We lost everything including 3 cats and a sugar glider. The house was a rental and unfortunately we did not have insurance. All we were left with was the clothes on our back. I would give up all the material things just to have my fur babies back. We were fortunate to have one of our pets make it out without any injuries, my daughter Brooklyn’s ferret, Goobie! He spent the night in the emergency vet in an incubator and was able to come home the next morning. We were able to pay for a hotel room for a week courtesy of the Red Cross and that week is almost up and we still haven’t been able to find a home yet and we don’t know how we can afford to stay in hotel much longer. I’m not the person to ask for help but I guess there are certain times when you just have to. The money will be used towards possibly another week at this hotel and the rest will go towards deposit and first month rent on a house as soon as we find one. We appreciate it all greatly.
