I'm at a point that I don't know what to do other than ask for the generosity of others.

TLDR: Teenagers stole my car, took it across multiple states, got in a police chase, crashed it and it went up in flames. Insurance won't cover it. I didn't have comprehensive even though it is required by my loan company to have it. In All State you are not in good hands, they barely have fingers, let alone a palm to push you out on the curb. Just little stubs clenching to all their money. I'm not bitter :D

On Sunday May 11th, 2025. 3 teenagers atole my car at around 4 in the morning. I didn't notice till 9:30am in which then I called the cops to report it stolen.

It was a new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek,

So I knew it had some sort of tracking on it. I called up Starlink paid 30 bucks to activate it and tracked the car to NYC, I'm in Scranton,(What? The electric city!) PA by the way.

I called the initial officer to let him know and he called NY police. For 3 hours they kept going over the GW bridge. I'm pretty sure they don't know how to merge in the city and got stuck getting on and off again. The toll is $20 bucks each way. I can't wait for that to come in the mail.

I went back and forth with the Scranton cop who was also giving me updates that NY and NJ cops were trying to intercept them.

Then right after 12pm I get a call from Starlink saying my airbags were deployed and they asked "Were you in an accident? Are you okay?" Which I promptly replied "I'm fine, but the people who stole my car probably aren't." Eventually they saud they'll call the cops over there and see if they should send an ambulance.

Couple minutes later I get a call from the Scranton cop, who struggles to tell me that my car is currently on fire and that they arrested 3 kids!

So three kids arrested and only one charged in NY. And I can't get info on anything since they are minors. Like suing their parents and pressing charges against all of them in PA.

I put my claim in through insurance and it took them 11 days to say I'm not covered...

Now I need a car, but I can't afford 2 loans.

So I'm trying to raise money to pay off my existing loan and get a new one. I had the car for less than 5 months. It had only 5k miles on it. The left over loan is about 30k and if by some miracle I raise that I can pay it off. If I raise more it'll go towards the down payment of my next car.

I currently live with my 90 year old grandmother and my chronically ill mother. I take them to their dr appointments, go food shopping, pick up their meds and other errands they need to go on. For now we are all home bound till I can figure this all out.
