Dalton fatal house fire

Donation protected
On the 22 July 2019, Emergency services were called to the Brown family home on Jerrawa Road, 3km southwest of Dalton.

When friends came to visit David Brown in the morning, they found the house on fire. David was the only person in the home at the time along with two dogs.
The home was destroyed, unable to save David and the two family dogs Louie & Ty. Now the children have not only lost their father, but they have lost everything. Leaving them with just the clothes on there back.

David was a hardworking sheep farmer who had been drought stricken for many years. Father of children Sarah 22, Jake 19 and son in law Luke who lived in the home together.

He had been battling terminal cancer for the past few years, but managing with family helping get to and from hospital/doctors appointments.

3 years ago the family lost Vivien Brown from motor neurone disease. The family cared for Vivien but in her rapid decline Sarah became her full time carer at home, straight after finishing year 12. Sarah and Jake cared for Vivien till the day she passed.

Once Vivien had passed, the children started caring for David when diagnosed with lung cancer.

These kids have done it tough and are now on their own and homeless.

Any contribution you're able to help with will help the Brown family children through these difficult times. I’m asking for help, they need to know there is some good in the world.

To make matters worse it’s Jakes 20th Birthday today 23/7/19
