In Loving Memory of Jody Baran — Help Us Rebuild After Tragic Loss

It is with a broken heart that I share the devastating loss of my beloved husband of 30 years, Jody Baran, who passed away suddenly from a rare and aggressive cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma, which he didn’t even know he had. It was fast and unexpected. He was taken to the emergency room on August 22nd due to severe pain and on August 26th he was gone.

Jody was not only my life partner, but also my performing partner — for 30 years, we traveled the world together, bringing joy and wonder to audiences through our shared passion for magic.

Jody’s passing has left an unimaginable void in my heart and in our lives. We were a team in every sense of the word, and now I find myself facing an overwhelming wave of grief, anxiety, and financial uncertainty because our livelihood depended on performing together, the loss of Jody has meant the cancellation of all our scheduled shows, leaving me without the income I relied on.

I never imagined I’d be in this position, but I am reaching out for help during this incredibly difficult time. Your support will help me manage immediate expenses, keep up with basic living costs, and begin to find my footing again as I navigate this new chapter without Jody by my side.
