Hi,

My two daughters, their dad, me, and our dog started a journey to move to Brookeland, Texas from NH/MA to start over and build a new, different life. Our only home is my camper and my truck! One thing I did not plan for is this very big uh-oh! I thought my truck would make it all the way, but unfortunately, we are so close yet so far! We are stuck in Alabama! We have made it about 1,500 miles from where we started, and with only approximately 400 miles left, we are stranded in Livingston, Alabama! My truck's transmission lost 3rd and 4th gear! Sadly, the wear from towing long distance plus the heat wave coming through Alabama this week was not in our favor. I need to get a replacement used transmission installed ASAP. The mobile mechanic, who has been awesome, figures it will be about $2,300 total for him to get a used transmission, bring my truck to his shop to do the swap, and drive it back to me. Unfortunately, I only have some of that amount; I don’t have all of that right now to be able to pay him. I am really, really praying for kindness and for someone to please help restore my faith in humanity. My kids are supposed to start school this week in Brookeland, TX! Our landlord for our campsite there is very understanding and is awaiting our safe arrival, as is Kyle’s job down in Jasper, TX!! We have no jobs here; we were on our way through, so there isn’t a way for me/us to suddenly be able to pay for this. We need help! My kids have been troopers through all of this, and we are all trying to stay positive even though it is scary being in an unfamiliar place, unable to keep going to our new hometown! Anything helps!
