Many of us know Courtney Drewes from her 20+ years in the film and television industry as a camera technician. She built a career she loved and earned a reputation as a hardworking, dependable member of the film community.

She eventually gave birth to a boy, named Fox. Her pride and joy.

But then, out of the blue, cancer changed everything. Just being hit with that news would be a shock to any of us, even before the months of chemotherapy and radiation she has now undergone.

Even while in the midst of treatment, she continued pushing forward with hope for the future, always keeping her son at the center of everything she did. And their pup, Dodger.

Courtney is now in recovery, with very low energy, without the ability to work. Combined with the financial impact of cancer treatment and everyday living expenses for her, Fox and Dodger, this has now exhausted the savings Courtney had worked hard to build.

Like many cancer survivors, she is still healing physically while looking forward to returning to work. And if you know Courtney, you know needing life help is one of the hardest positions she could be in. She has always been the person behind the scenes, working hard, solving problems, and showing up for others. Now she needs the community's help. Enough for immediate costs like utilities and sustenance for her little family, as well as support for 2-3 months until she can get back on her feet enough to work again.
