My family has faced unimaginable challenges in recent months. After a severe medication reaction, my husband rushed me to the ER, but we were involved in a car wreck. He was intubated for two days and spent over six weeks in hospitals, emerging with severe neurological damage and loss of function. Since then, he’s struggled daily, and our autistic teenage son has lost access to therapy and support. The car was totaled, and insurance and finance company issues led to our replacement car being repossessed on the promised payment date. This left us without transportation, unable to get medical care, attend court hearings, or even buy groceries. We were evicted and forced to move with only a U-Haul and one friend to help. I was scheduled for back surgery but had to postpone due to injuries from the wreck, and my job refuses to provide accommodations, making it impossible to return without reliable transportation.

We are fighting hard every single day to rebuild our lives, but we cannot do it without wheels. Because of our credit damage from the eviction and repossession, we need a down payment to secure a safe, reliable vehicle from a legitimate, trustworthy source. Every dollar raised will go directly toward this vehicle’s down payment and bills to keep us afloat until we can both get back to work, restore our mobility, get to medical care, show up to court, and regain self-sufficiency.
