"To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there." - Barbara Bush
We are reaching out to our beloved music family right now to join us in raising money to help Amy Jo and Wolfie. When we think of all the times Wolfie and Rumpke Mountain Boys have been there to lift us up through their music, we knew it was time for us to return the love and kindness.
Amy Jo has been diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. She has had one mastectomy in hopes of not having to do chemo and radiation, but the results have shown that she does have to go through both chemo and radiation treatment. As we know, this is very hard on the body and brings up mental challenges with how it affects the body. Amy Jo is a strong woman who needs her tribe to help support and lift her up right now.
The decision to reach out to friends for help was not an easy one, but we have been wanting to find a way to help our friends and we feel blessed to have the opportunity to do so. The funds we raise will be put towards helping cover food, bills, medical, and day-to-day needs while Amy Jo is unable to work.
In addition to this GoFundMe, we will be holding a benefit show with a chance auction on October 12 at Freddie's in St. Louisville, OH. Facebook link for the Benefit Show - Family Perspective - We’re all in this together and we’ll make it through this day.
