Santa Monica Music Center Looting REBUILD
On May 31st, 2020 the nearly 50 year old, family owned business, Santa Monica Music Center was looted and just decimated. First started by brothers Chico and Victor Fernandez, it had just been remodeled in 2018. It’s now co-owned by Chico and his daughter (my friend), Lana Fernandez Negrete.
Unfortunately, her insurance does not cover everything. They are losing so much!
She and her family have done so much for our community including fundraisers, and devoted endless hours to our local schools and PTA. Santa Monica Music was already hit hard after the Covid-19 breakout with a 70% decrease in income because of the city wide, stay at home order.
The music store and music studios have been providing the music community, schools, and local families with quality band and orchestra instrument sales, rentals, repair, private and group lessons and studio rentals since 1972. The community minded business supports the public and private schools in the area with donations of lessons and instruments for their auctions and fundraisers.
Please donate any amount you can - no amount is too small! Please help them rebuild their family business!
