Hi, my name is Shawn, and I am a friend of Russell and Chloe's. I started this GoFundMe to help give the family some relief from this tragic situation.
On Friday, October 21st, the Wilson's home was damaged in an electrical fire that engulfed the entire main level of their home. This being a split-level home meant that their whole living quarters was destroyed. Thankfully no one was home at the time, but unfortunately, the family lost everything, including the family cat.
If you know the Wilson family, you know that this is Chloe's childhood home, and there were a lot of items within the home that can never be replaced.
While Russell works outside the home, Chloe started two home-based businesses to help supplement their income when their twin boys were younger. This fire did not only impact their personal lives but Chloe's business life as well. Chloe lost her baking and a lot of her acrylic business supplies. This means a lot of her work has been scaled down due to the loss.
If you've ever tasted a Cocoa's Cupcakes treat, you know this is a significant loss to the baking community because everything that came out of that kitchen was on point.
The money from this fundraiser will be used towards helping them rebuild from this. Between buying items for their four children (clothes, food, etc.), the family will need other necessities while they figure out their next step and also help take care of their bills.
While I am setting this up, the money will go directly from GoFundMe to the Wilson's bank account.
