My name is Cathy Johnston and my husband is Paul Johnston. Our 13th grandchild, Jordan Coleman Johnston, son of Jason and Hannah, arrived on April 9, 2023 - Easter Sunday - which was more than two months before expected. We are all thankful that although tiny (3 lbs 7.9 oz at birth) he is perfectly formed and healthy! He’ll be living at OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City for about the first 6 weeks of his life.

With his arrival, however, came some unforeseen and unexpected financial challenges.

Hannah expected to work up until as close to her due date of June 21st as possible. But she hasn’t worked since she went into labor on April 8th. Also, they expected Hannah to have some paid vacation time and partially paid maternity leave. But as it turns out she has no paid vacation and no paid maternity leave. 

What I am hoping for, with this fundraiser is to collect enough to pay for 3 months rent and utilities, plus funds to pay for fuel for Jason to travel to the hospital once a week, which is about a 2 hour drive each way.

That all comes to about $4,000.

Our hope is to help get their family off to a good start.

God has been good and has blessed us with this tiny little boy and we want to see him thrive, having his mama home with him for a full 90 days of at all possible.
