I’ve been avoiding posting anything about
this situation but it seems like it’s time..


My Mom was hit by a speeding car that ran a light on Hwy 6 while crossing the street
last weekend. Apparently the driver
had been drinking.

The impact caused both of her legs and
pelvis to break, damaged organs,
and severe brain trauma which hopefully
she didn’t suffer pain from.

She was life flighted to STICU
(Shock Trauma ICU). The doctors went into emergency surgery and have monitored
her vitals and brain which to this point has made no progress. My Brother and I have
now come to the heart breaking decision of letting her go into a comfort state that will take her off of life support so that
she may rest and pass naturally.

Our plan is to send her back to California 
in the event of her passing so she may rest with her parents and other family
members that have passed at Holy Cross.

I never imagined something like this could happen to someone I know especially not my Mom..
