Family of Five Displaced by Kitchen Fire

Dear friends, in the middle of the night on 4/4/25, we were woken up to our smoke alarm going off and a home completely filled with smoke. A fire broke out in our kitchen while we were sleeping. We’re not sure how exactly it started, but it originated in the stove. We quickly evacuated the house and called 911. The responders came quickly and contained the fire; however, the home is currently uninhabitable, and we are displaced in an Airbnb until a cleaning crew can get in there and make it safe for us to return. A lot of work needs to be done, and a lot of our possessions will be lost as the smoke damaged every room of the house.

We are so grateful to be alive. We are thankful for our smoke detectors and for the first responders who are our heroes. We are thankful for our families who have helped us through this and also thankful to Ten Lives Club, who was able to take in our 3 kittens.

We are humbly asking for any donations to help ease the financial burden. Insurance will help with a lot, but unfortunately not our personal belongings. As a family with 3 children, you can imagine how many treasured items will not be able to be salvaged and need to be replaced.
