We are the Gideon Fire Dept. in NE Oklahoma and we need your help to assist a Firefighters Family that was always there when his community or friends needed him.

Lieutenant James (JR) Nicholas was a dedicated and hard working volunteer firefighter that gave selflessly of his time to respond to emergencies, train to improve his capabilities, work on special projects or stop to help a neighbor change a tire. LT Nicholas was a Volunteer Firefighter and never received a dime for the things he did for his community or the fire department. Unfortunately he left behind a loving wife, Rachel and two adorable kids, Avree 6 and Korbin 3. Avree has been in and out of the hospital her whole life fighting off a disease which causes cancer. She had multiple surgery's to remove cancerous growths including one of her eyes. You couldn't tell by her demeanor though, she's full of life and vigor! Korbin is no stranger himself to problems, being born prematurely he had several complications from it. He too is unbelievably happy and strong willed just like his dad! The family has exhausted their funds paying for his funeral and have no means to purchase a headstone and need help with bills, fuel for doctors visits and life's basic needs. They are a good wholesome family and have always helped others in need when they could.
