I have started this account for the family of one of my best friends both in work and out who has tragically had his life cut short.
Darren suffered a heart attack last week and sadly is not going to come back from this.
I first met Darrens dad through work (lagger) 20 + years ago and he used to tell me stories of this crazy son he had that just couldn't quite stay out of trouble and was making him grey but you could tell he loved him indefinitely. 
By chance Darren ended up working at the same gas terminal (also lagger) as me and we became firm friends instantly and working together on and off for 20 odd years both onshore and off . 
To everyone that knows the both of us its no lie that at times he drove me insane with his antics but at the same time had mine and my familys back always and treated me better than a brother for that I will be eternally grateful. 
We often chatted over a beer (or 15) that if anything was to happen to either of us that we would always be there for one anothers family and this is my first steps to honouring that pact as I no without a doubt he would be at my wife's side now helping her .
Darren will be leaving Vicky and daughters Kayla,Courtney, havannah and porschea to join his father in lagger heaven surrounded by these 30 Virgins he often joked about .
