Family of Alex Pavy

An amazing husband, father, friend, and coworker was lost last week with the sudden passing of Alex Pavy. Alex passed away unexpectedly on October 13, leaving behind his beautiful wife, Tracy and four children. As a friend and former co-worker of Alex's, I wanted to honor his memory by creating a fundraiser to help his family with medical bills and end-of-life expenses.
Alex Pavy was the kind of friend, mentor, and coworker that you always wanted to have in your corner. Raised just outside Chicago with a tough, hardworking midwesterner's mindset, he seldom asked of anything for himself, but was the first person to help if you needed anything. His imposing voice and physical stature belied one of the softest hearts and kindest spirits you would ever get to know if you were fortunate enough to spend time around him.
Working in engineering and sales roles for over 30 years in the Oil and Gas industry, Alex helped countless coworkers and clients excel in their jobs and careers by putting his passion and persistence into everything he did at work. Unfortunately, early on in the Covid-19 pandemic (March 2020), his employer at the time eliminated the division in which Alex was working. Soon after, his wife Tracy experienced a similar situation, as her employer also had to downsize. While searching for a new role in an industry where job opportunities were narrowing, Alex began to experience multiple health issues. Those issues not only eventually prevented him from being able to return to the workforce, but they also required Tracy to spend much of her time and energy helping to care for Alex. As one might expect, this took a heavy financial toll on the family, leaving them with the dual burden of medical bills and end-of-life funeral and final expenses.
Please consider helping out Tracy and her kids, as I know Alex would be the first in line to do the same for any of his friends. I can think of no better way to honor such a great person like Alex than to help take away a few burdens from his family so they can focus on each other during their time of loss.
