Family of 9 displaced by home fire

If you haven’t heard we were woken up on March 3, 2024 at 3am to our fire alarm going off. After getting everyone evacuated from the home, Orlando Fire Department was there in no time to contain the fire. I am so thankful for them. The fire started in the garage and stayed mostly in that area. The smoke had entered the home and worked its way into every bedroom and into all of our belongings. I am amazed how much of it is everywhere in the house.

update for us: Our friends have allowed us to use the Class A motor home that is parked in our driveway of our home. After speaking with the disaster clean up crew it seems like clean up will take from 20-30 days and possibly even more. We are looking for a local Airbnb close to Pershing School if possible. Please let us know if you have something or someone who can help.

This has been a crazy day and I am glad that my family is safe. Now is the time to help rebuild our home and our lives.
