Hi, my name is Shakyna Williams engaged to Ykeem Lovejoy (saved date has been canceled) and we have 5 children. On 09/14/22 around midnight I was woken up to the house being on fire and then suddenly was faced with the most terrifying task of getting my babies all out safe. We lost everything that night except our lives which we are forever grateful for. I know our lives were the most important which is why that was my ONLY priority even while putting mine at risk...yes I know materials can be replaced...those items just hit me a little harder because my businesses/sources of income went up in flames so it's more than just things...that fire took away the way I financially supported my family and reality is hitting me as the adrenaline fades.

My hurt, pain, and tears aren't for material things even knowing our wedding items including my and the girl's dresses, rings, and more, it's for the long hard work of stability I accomplished to care for my family.

All the many medical reasons for me not going to clock in at a job...I never gave up...I pushed! I've over came alot and accomplished building a secure income at home due to that, now its gone. And not renewing renters insurance or getting small business insurance has became the biggest mistakes I've ever made. We can stay positive, we can rebuild, we have learned from this tragedy and we know when help is needed, so we are here asking with an open heart to please if you can help us reach our goal so we can put a roof back over our heads and start the business back up to continue to support and raise our babies.
