Family of 6 needs urgent community support!

Goals:
- Raise as much as possible to put toward attorney fees and living expenses

My name is Terra and I’ve created this campaign on behalf of, and with consent from the family.

Story:
In late December a local father of four and Rochester community member for 25 years was abducted by ICE, suddenly leaving his wife the sole provider and caretaker of their family.

Mounting living expenses meant the family missed a car insurance payment, and now they need to prepay to keep the insurance. This is the most immediate need for the family to stay afloat after this devastating and unexpected crisis.

The father also has a tough case ahead of him due to multiple oppressive state systems at play. He deserves the best chance at rejoining his family and to do that he will have a substantial amount of legal fees.

Let’s come together in support of this family. Any amount helps, please consider a recurring gift.

Statement from the children's mom:
My children's father is a devoted loving dad with a big heart who goes out of his way to help anyone in need no questions asked. Everyday of his life consists of quality time with his children, working, and indulging a delicious authentic meal. He's known as a dedicated hard worker who takes pride in his work. With his multilingual background, he helped open the door to employment at his job as a translator for non English speaking immigrants. He has unlawfully lost his right to raise his children, liberty and everything he worked hard for. Our children are heartbroken, traumatized and miss him dearly. We our asking for your help to get through this hardship and cruel unjust disruption to our family. We would greatly appreciate your donation as every bit helps.

Statement from his teenage daughter:
I pray for my dad's safe return everyday. Hoping he'll be there after school smiling ear to ear or picking me up from work and treating me to Starbucks on the way home. My dad helped me to reach my goal by teaching me how to drive. His patience, time, consistency and allowing me to practice in his car, helped me to get my license. I miss my dad's talks of tools for life about money management "spend some save some" and commending me of how proud he is of me for being a recognized scholar and working. Now our talks are short and Iimited from restrictions. It saddens me to hear when someone has died in ICE custody. I wonder what if that happens to my dad. I worry that I'll never see him again. I seek refuge in God and have faith that he'll be here again soon so we can play basketball at open gym again and for things go back to normal.
