Hi, I’m Catherine and I’m raising funds for a young Manchester CT family dealing with mounting financial challenges due to both parents facing life-threatening medical conditions. Dad, Jesse, is dealing with a reoccurrence of a rare, aggressive thyroid cancer, requiring frequent trips to Boston for surgery and treatment not available in Ct. Mom, Laura, has been supporting Jesse, managing his care while working 2 jobs and caring for their 3 boys. Laura collapsed a couple of weeks ago, and required 14 hrs of surgery over 2 days to repair damage to her organs due to an internal rupture. Because the rupture had gone undetected for so long she was malnourished and her internal organs have suffered severe damage. Laura crashed twice during surgery and had several heart attacks in the process. She is currently recovering from her surgeries while her body is being nourished with IV treatment. She faces further treatment and possible surgeries as the damage to her heart and internal organs is assessed.

Neither Jesse nor Laura are currently able to work. Medical co-pays, medication, gas for medical visits, meals on the road will continue for an undetermined period of time. Added food costs and possibly childcare needs are putting an additional strain on the family’s already stretched finances.
