Family of 5 Left Homeless tree splits home in half

Hi everyone, this is Krissi. First and foremost we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to every single individual who has reached out to us, every one of you helping us, donating whatever you can, weather it’s monetarily, clothing, gift cards etc. It is all appreciated so much and we are so, so thankful. Several people have mentioned that they prefer cash app or Venmo. So I will provide all the info for them both below as well. We went into the house and are trying to salvage what we can. The walls are all buckling and filling with water and the damage is getting so much worse. Many of our things are soaked in water and glass is shattered everywhere. The floor is caving in in several parts of the home as well. We were blessed enough to grab some of our things. I have also received questions of where the money will go. We are using the money to pay for any immediate needs, clothes, gas, food etc. We will also be using the money to relocate, as our home is in no possible way livable. I owned the home and we have no insurance. Every penny we had went into this house so we are essentially starting from the ground up and need to find a new place to live as soon as possible. Thank you again for all of your continued support, kindness and prayers. Any and every single thing is appreciated. Venmo- @Kristine-Lightkep Cash app- $KristineLightkep We will be posting some updated photos as well.
This is Krissi Lightkep's mother Lori and this afternoon, Wednesday, June 3, I received a phone call that a mom never wants to get!! Krissi was on the other end of the line crying hysterically telling me how it was storming and a huge tree crashed through her house with all of them inside.  Thankfully, her and her husband Greg were able to get everyone safely out of the house including all of the furbabies.  However, the house was deemed uninhabitable by the assistant chief of fire police, and they are unable to go into the home for any belongings.  The literally left with the clothing on their backs and have lost everything including their home.  We are working with the Red Cross for some basic necessities for the first couple of days but obviously are just at a total loss right now and are not even sure which way to turn.  If you could find it in your heart to donate any amount (no amount is too small) it would be so greatly appreciated and necessary to help them rebuild their lives from the ground up.  In addition any other donations can also be dropped off at various drop off locations which we will privately message anyone interested.. simply send a friend request to Krissi Lightkep or Lori Haldeman.  Thank You so much and Please keep them in your prayers!
