Family Survives 120 MPH Car Driven Thru Home

At 2:15 AM on Tuesday, August 30th a drunk driver smashed into the north end of Doug and Jes McGrew’s home in Wood Village Oregon. The deputy on site said they estimated the vehicle's speed to be about 120 mph. The north exterior wall was obliterated at Jes and Doug’s bedroom and the bathroom that was between the two bedrooms. The front bedroom wall slammed into the head of the boy’s bunk bed shattering the headboards 2 X 6 frame. It was the Grace of God and his angels I am sure that protected the four of them. The shock of the impact collapsed the steel bathtub and knocked all doors off their hinges 15 feet into the home.

Doug, Jes and family are being forced to vacate their duplex and it is expected to take up to 6 months for restoration to be completed. They do have renters insurance but the wheels of justice often move slowly. They have immediate financial need to secure housing and replace food in the pantry that was destroyed. The broken water pipes and the impact of the vehicle damaged most of the furniture in both bedrooms. If you are able, any support would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you!
