Kris, Amanda, and their two girls suffered the temporary loss of their home as well as the loss of a number of possessions in a fire this past Wednesday. The fire started on the roof and damaged a significant part of their storage area and the girls bedroom. Thankfully everyone made it out unscathed (including the family dog), however, this comes at a particularly devastating time as Amanda is pregnant and due to give birth to their son in just 5 short weeks. Many of the supplies and gifts for their new baby were lost in the blaze, and the girls lost clothing, furniture, and toys from their room.

In the short-term, the family will need some new clothing for themselves and the girls, as well as funds to secure suitable lodging while their home is being cleaned and repaired (this could take a while as there was significant fire damage to the roof and water damage in one of the bedrooms and dining room). The bulk of the $4,000 we hope to raise will likely go toward their temporary living situation, with the rest being utilized for clothing, school supplies, toys, etc. for the girls.
