Our Family Lost Everything in a Devastating House Fire
My name is Candy, and I’m asking for help during one of the most heartbreaking moments our family has ever experienced.
Our home at 92-49 Woodhaven, Queens, was destroyed by a devastating fire. In just a matter of minutes, everything we worked so hard for was gone. The fire and water damage left our home completely unlivable, and we lost nearly everything inside — clothing, personal belongings, furniture, and the place we called home.
There are four of us in our family: three adults and one child. We are now suddenly homeless and trying to figure out how to rebuild our lives after this tragedy.
The American Red Cross was kind enough to place us in a hotel for two nights, but that time is quickly running out, and we still don’t know where we will go next. Right now, we are taking things one day at a time while trying to stay strong for our child during this incredibly difficult and emotional situation.
We are humbly asking for help from friends, family, and anyone who feels moved to support us. Donations will help us with temporary housing, clothing, food, replacing basic necessities, and beginning the long process of rebuilding our lives after losing everything.
No amount is too small, and if you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping our family get through this unimaginable hardship and giving us hope during such a dark time.
