My name is Felicia Ferrell Jackson, I have 9 children, Ashleigh, Amari, Arieon, Ariyah, Avante', Amir, Aliyah, Alana, and Agianna Jackson and 1 granddaughter Azhani Jackson whom all live with me. Two days ago on the early morning of June 11th, about 6:50 a.m my 16yr old woke me up due to the smell of smoke in her room, then coming through her outlet. Shortly thereafter the unimaginable happened and my house was in flames. I got all my children out and granddaughter, along with our pets. So I am definitely thanking God that noone was hurt. But to see 4-5 firetrucks. ambulances, and police surrounding my house as they put out the fire, it was total disbelief. As my children sat across the street in pajamas and blankets that the neighbors gave them, all I could do was scream and cry. Anyone that knows me, knows that I give my kids the world and will move heaven and earth for them. So to go in my house and see that my 16, 12, 10, and 7yr old daughters rooms had been completely burned, they have nothing, just nothing, everything they owned from clothing, shoes, electronics, just bare necessities just gone. My heart dropped and I just cried more than I ever cried. Then my 14 and 15yr old boys room ruined from the smoke damage. My 20yr old room complete ruined, ceiling caved in from all the water from the hoses, my 2 other daughter ceilings caved in from the hoses. Watching my kids faces and crying and I couldn't do anything to stop what was happening just broke me. Now 2 days later and I still can't grasp this is our reality. I love my kids and grandbaby with everything in me, and I am hurting for them so bad. You pray and thank God everyday for life and how blessed you are, because it can all change within a matter of minutes. I am such a stubborn person who usually just makes a way when it comes to my family but I still can't wrap my mind around this and why us.
