Family needs help after theft and loss.

 

Hi, my name is Mark. I am a retired Veteran. A while back, our family moved from Missouri to North Dakota. I am asking for help for my family because we have suffered so much damage and loss. We have tried to recover on our own, but that has proved to be impossible.

Unfortunately and unknowingly, I hired a horrible company to broker our move. I used a moving broker out of Florida called Final Destination Moving and Storage. It was their job to find a reputable mover to handle our possessions and move them from Missouri to North Dakota. They hired a crooked company, Handle With Care Moving and Storage, from Tucker, GA, without my knowledge and against federal law, which requires them to provide a list of movers they use before collecting any money. The link showing the regulations is https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/protect-your-move/movers-vs-brokers.

On top of this, I was unaware that Handle With Care does not have a license to do business in Tucker, GA. They knowingly entered into a fraudulent, illegal deal with the broker, even though they knew they did not have insurance to cover any loss or damage I, as their client, might have. All of their actions are criminal.

To make matters worse, Handle With Care took almost two months to deliver our possessions, charged almost twice what the estimate was and lost or destroyed almost 2/3 of our property. They destroyed both of our power recliners, brand new washer and dryer, and the list goes on and on. The video above is a montage of just some of the damage done by the movers to our property. It does not show it all, nor does it list all of the possessions which are still missing. On top of this, they held our possessions hostage until I paid what is called a shuttle fee of $750. As it turns out, they never used a shuttle but kept the money. Since our belongings did not arrive on the promised date, we had to purchase many items again, just so we could live. These items included a new bed, washer, pots and pans, living room furniture etc.

They also stole some of our possessions. The driver admits they did not put all our possessions on the truck.

A partial list of items missing or stolen are: A king-size adjustable bed, King-size wooden headboard, Little Giant Ladder, a Storage rack system for the garage, a Bakers Rack, a Microwave stand, and so much more.

If we can raise the money we are asking for, we will use it to replace some of the missing or damaged items and pay down some of the debt this has caused us, which was significantly raised by the overcharges from the crooked moving company.

If we can raise enough money, I want to advertise their crimes on billboards where these companies are located to warn people not to use them in an effort to shut them down and put them out of business so they can't hurt any more people.

Please help me meet these goals.
