Hello everybody, thank you for visiting this page. This is set up for us as a family to help make some memories, travel the country as a family & take the pressure off us.
In october last year Ksenija gave birth to our beautiful little boy, Jacob. In may this year as Ksenija stopped breastfeeding, she went 80+ days of constant bleeding and in july the bleeding was accompanied with severe pain. Despite numerous GP visits nothing was found. Late july this year the pain was so bad we went to A&E, she was examined by the gynaecology team. They advised she needed an MRI scan. The MRI scan revealed a 7cm tumour on her cervix. As you can imagine this news devasted us.
A biopsy was taken and Ksenija then went for a PET CT scan. The results of all this confirmed Ksenija had stage 3 2C cervical cancer.
A treatment plan was put in place and to start on the 4th september at clatterbridge cancer centre in liverpool.
Ksenija would undergo 25 radiotherapy sessions and 5 chemotherapy sessions over the next 5 weeks.
1 week in to treament whilst attending a chemotherapy session Ksenija become unwell so they gave her a scan which shown the cancer had spread and curing it wasnt an option any more. A new treament plan has been made for Ksenija to start a higher intensity radiotherapy and a different chemotherapy.
Ultimatley at the age of 24, she has been told she has stage 4 cervical cancer. As a family we are all devastated, our worlds have been shattered. We have an 11 month old little boy who hasnt got a clue whats happening to his mummy.
All we now want as a family is to make some amazing memories together whilst we still can. And also just to not have the everyday worries of life, even for just a short while.
Thank you all who reads this.
We really appreciate any support.
