Two young children have been taken in by a sister, but the parents are sleeping in their offsite garage which had been rented as a storage unit.
Two weeks ago, fire ravaged our home to the point of, due to smoke damage, being declared “uninhabitable”. As a result:
• Our dog suffered severe smoke inhalation requiring treatment at the Emergency Animal Hospital. We are unable to pay the resulting $5000 vet bill.
• We basically lost our entire household possessions….beds, bedding, towels, and clothing.
• We do not have any Renter’s Insurance, so we are in need of funds to replace our belongings, once we find a place to rent
