Family lost home of 20 years due to Rain Storm

Due to the recent rain storms my Comadre Patty Moreno and her family have been forced out of the home that they have been living in for over 20 years. On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, the roof flew off of their apartment building causing water to leak into their home. Luckily they are safe but all of their belonging like furniture, clothes, etc. have been destroyed by the water. Also because they did not have renters insurance they can not get any of that money back. They are currently renting a temporary home until they are allowed to return or find another permanent home.

Debido a las recientes tormentas de lluvia, mi comadre Patty Moreno y su familia se han visto obligados a abandonar la casa en la que han estado viviendo durante más de 20 años. El martes 10 de enero de 2023, el techo de su edificio de apartamentos salió volando y provocó una fuga de agua en su casa. Afortunadamente, están a salvo, pero todas sus pertenencias, como muebles, ropa, etc., han sido destruidas por el agua. Además, debido a que no tenían seguro de inquilinos, no pueden recuperar nada de ese dinero. Actualmente estan rentando un hogar temporal hasta que se les permita regresar o encontrar otro hogar permanente.
