Our world was turned upside down when a fire ravaged our family home, leaving nothing behind. Yet, in the midst of this heartbreak, we are beyond grateful—grateful that our family is safe, grateful to God Almighty for protecting our loved ones.
When the fire broke out, our dad and brother were asleep, unaware of the danger. By the grace of God, our mother arrived home from work just in time to find the house engulfed in flames. Without hesitation, she rushed in and woke them up, saving their lives. While we are incredibly blessed that they made it out, the loss is still overwhelming.
Watching our parents' lifelong hard work, sacrifices, and dreams reduced to ashes broke us. Seeing their tears fall as they stood in front of what was once their home was the hardest part.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community—please keep our parents in your prayers. They are carrying so much right now, and your prayers mean everything to us.
For those who feel moved to help in any way, we would be deeply grateful. If you'd like to offer support, please feel free to message me.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
A HUGE thank you to the Quitman Police Department and the incredible firefighters who did everything they could. We also want to express our deepest appreciation to everyone who has been there to comfort and support our family during this difficult time. Your kindness means more than words can say.
