Family lost everything in Malden Wildfires
Donation protected
Hi I am fundraising for my newly married sister, Daisy, who lost everything in the Malden fire. This is definitely not the way my sister thought she would be announcing her incoming newest blessing or spending what should be the happiest time in her life. My sister Daisy made the move last year from to the Pacific Northwest. She eventually settled and bought her first home in Malden, WA. She loved her little town and immediately began trying to be involved and improve it by thrusting herself in the community, learning about the historic town and even starting an instagram page for the new place she called home (@maldenwashington) Unfortunately, I am here to announce that both Malden and her home were completely destroyed in what they are describing as a firestorm. There was little to no warning, and deputies had to rush door to door to tell residents to evacuate the area immediately. My sister, her husband and their son thankfully got out in time and are unharmed. Within hours, 90% of the town had burned to the ground. My sister’s home and everything she had to her name burned to the foundation. She is heartbroken and lost but thankful that her little family is safe. I am so proud of how strong she has been and am so excited to announce the arrival of and meet my new niece or nephew who will be a much needed blessing to this amazing family ❤️❤️ Malden’s post office has burnt down but I have purchased her a PO Box near our mothers house in Idaho and I will be updating this with the specifics once she gets it set up. If anyone would like to send her well wishes or baby items please do so, my nephew Theodore wears size 4t and 7 in shoes. I appreciate the support and even a kind note or letter would help her stay positive in these hard times. Thanks so much
