Douglas Family Loses Elon Home in Fire

The Providence Place Community is working to assist our neighbors, Jeff and Kemi Douglas, as they rebuild.

On Sunday, June 19, Father's Day, in Elon, NC, the Douglas family lost EVERYTHING when their home of 17 years unexpectedly caught fire. Their home has been their safe place where they have evolved and created countless memories. It was a home where love resided, friends were always welcome, and laughter never seemed to end.

While fortunately, everyone made it out safely; by the time Fire and Rescue were able to put out the fire, it was too late, and flames had engulfed the home up to and including the attic. The Douglas family has always been generous with everything, including opening their home to others. We hope the community shows their family an overwhelming amount of love as they cope with this devastating loss. We appreciate any monetary donation and prayers that will assist the Douglas family as they rebuild their lives.
