When they arrived in the US, Dina was pregnant with their second child. She gave birth to a healthy baby boy, but soon after, she started to experience serious health problems. She was diagnosed with a ruptured aneurysm and had to have emergency surgery. She is still in critical condition and needs two more surgeries.

Dina's husband had to quit his job to be with her and their two young children (a 2-year-old and 3 month-old). He is now the sole caregiver for their family, but he is struggling to make ends meet. They are facing mounting medical bills and they don't have enough money to pay for Dina's care.
