Special needs family in need of support

Hi, I’m Corey, and I’d like to tell you about my dear friend Marissa. Marissa is an incredible woman and single mother. She has had a challenging life and has risen above each obstacle, stronger each time. However, she needs our help.

Marissa is the mother of 2 beautiful sons. Holden is almost 13 and so smart and sweet. He is the best big brother that Carter could ever want or need.

Carter has just turned 10. He is autistic and is primarily non-verbal. Carter faces challenges in life that most of us could never imagine. He is lucky to have Marissa as his mother. She is a fierce mama bear who will stop at nothing to get Carter the care he needs and deserves.

Currently, there are two primary challenges facing this family.

A car of her own will enable Marissa to:

Marissa provides the majority of Carter’s care and is the primary parent for both children. She is fighting tooth and nail to keep Carter home with her and his brother, not in residential treatment.

As we all know, used cars are in high demand and in short supply. A dependable vehicle would provide several short-term and many long-term benefits.

Second is a home that is more conducive to the needs of her family. A new home would be a blessing for these boys, especially for Carter, who needs a space where his volume won't disturb others. Marissa would also be thankful for any support to help her get settled into a single-family home.

We want to help but are unable to do so alone. We welcome any help that anyone can provide. Thank you for reading!
