My mother-in-law was an extraordinary woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her passing early this morning has left an unbearable sadness in our hearts. We're struggling to come to terms with the immense void she's left behind. We want to give her the most beautiful celebration of life, one that reflects her love, kindness, and generosity. We're grateful for the support and donations that have been pouring in, which will help us honor her memory.

We're going through a tough time as a family. My mother-in-law has been very ill, in the hospital, care centers, and now in critical condition in the ICU. She is in liver failure, currently in the ICU. They have also had to start dialysis because her kidneys aren’t functioning; she’s in multiple organ failure. She lost her benefits because she is unable to work due to her illness. The doctors reassured the family that they are trying everything they can, but recently let the family know her prognosis isn’t good and that the family should consider putting her in comfort care. While we are still remaining optimistic, hopeful, and praying that she will get better, we want to plan for the next steps as well. She doesn’t have life insurance, so we’re making sure we have enough money to cover funeral expenses if the worst, most difficult, possible outcome happens.
