family in need because of trouble with immigration

In 2013 I came over with my family (wife and son) from Belgium to work as a Long Haul truck driver .We live in a very small town an hour North of Edmonton. Everything went well  till this year in April our work permit expired.Normally not a problem we did it before. But the moment my employer applied for a new LMIA (work permit)it went totally wrong. That moment Service Canada had technical issues and couldn’t generate a work permit number. I needed that number for my extension although we provide immigration the number and proof that my employer applied for a permit on my name they declined my case. On may 24thI received an email that I couldn’t work anymore and that we lost our status and Alberta health Care
Because this wasn’t correct we asked help to our local M.P. Shannon Stubbs . She told us to sent everything to her and because it sounds like a clerical error it would be an easy fix. But unfortunately  we’re December and it’s still not fixed they expect that it will be around Christmas.
In the meantime we’ve no money coming in. can’t claim for E.I. (although I contribute to it), but we still have to pay bills and need food.
That’s why I’m asking for help for my family because after 6 month’s without income we don’t know what to do anymore.
All help is much appreciated.
