Family in need after tragic work accident.

Hello everyone, my name is Angela and this fundraiser is very important to me as Amanda and her family have become family to me.

The morning of January 25th, 2024 one of my best friends Amanda suffered a life altering accident at our place of employment. Her hand was pulled into a machine and essentially "split" her hand in half all the way to her wrist on her right arm, which is her dominant hand. Today, February 6th, she had a long surgery in which they reconstructed her wrist, and did skin grafts on it as well. They also fully amputated her middle finger, ring finger, and pinky...and also partially amputated her pointer. She now has a very long road ahead of her with more steps to come. Once she is healed from this surgery she will be fitted for a myoelectric prostheses. She will have a lot of rehabilitation between learning to become a lefty and learning to use the prostheses.

She is very eager to get back to work but also knows this will take some time but also means there is an unfortunate need for help with bills, food, gas, hospital parking, you name it! This is where us as a community and as human beings can step up and help this amazing young woman and her family in need.

A little bit about Amanda and her family. Amanda is 37 years old, and her and her fiance Mike have a beautiful 3 year old son MJ. Mike works hard as a foreman at his job and unfortunately in this day in age they are still going to struggle and need our help! These 2 have always been hard workers and would never ask for a thing. I'm asking all of you reading this to please help my friend in need. Please help this family not fall behind and struggle anymore. It would mean the world to me, Amanda and her entire family for any help you could give.
