Family in need after Hurricane Helene left them homeless
Donation protected
Hey y’all, I’m Kari, Isaac Hedrick’s sister.
On 9/27/24, the catastrophic Hurricane Helene ripped through WNC. This precious family of 6 was forced to grab their children and escape to safety with only the clothes on their backs as flooding waters rapidly spread into their home after they received an evacuation notice, which was far too late. Kati Hedrick, the mother, literally had to tuck baby Kolter (only 3 months old) into her coat and run for safety while Isaac Hedrick, the dad, grabbed Kensley (4 yrs) and Ada (2 yrs). Thankfully, Ashtyn, the teenage daughter, wasn’t there at the time. By the time they were able to return home after the water had gone down, the devastation was unimaginable and irreparable. Only being able to retrieve some clothes and a few other items, everything else was lost to the flood and major water damage, including their beagle, Rugar.
Just like so many other families right now, they’ve been left homeless and completely heartbroken. However, even with all this loss, devastation, and suffering, I’ve witnessed nothing from these parents but gratitude to God for their lives and showing their children that even during times of extreme difficulty and uncertainty, God is still in control. Having 3 children under 5 years old, with one of those being a 3-month-old who’s breastfeeding, a teenager, plus 2 dogs, this sweet family needs financial help! So please, help me help them! Even if you can only share this and pray, that’s helping❤️
All donations will be sent directly to the Hedrick family so that they can begin the long process of starting over, with the hope of providing a much needed roof over their children’s heads.
