On Monday, September 6th, 2021, the Lugo family experienced a heartbreaking and unimaginable tragedy. In the midst of Labor Day weekend, their loved family home caught on fire. The fire spread quickly and intensely causing extreme damage to their home, both to the exterior and interior. Despite this tragic loss, fortunately, all of the Lugo family household is safe and feeling immensely grateful for their health and safety at this time. However, the family is also experiencing a deep loss and is very heartbroken to no longer be able to live in their loving home. Many of their cherished possessions were lost from irreplaceable memories and photos to furniture, clothing, savings, and more.

This house was a beautiful and cherished home to the Lugo family for the past 5 years. This loving household of six includes Joey, Sharron, Ondrea, Nathan, Isabella, and Mercedes (expectant mother). The family is especially heartbroken to have lost many of their youngest Isabella’s (age 12) clothing, furniture, and school supplies. They are also saddened to have lost many baby essentials as they have been preparing for the birth of their future grandchild in the upcoming winter months who will become the seventh member of this loving household.

At this time, we are drawing on the love, prayers, and strength of our community to support the Lugo family through this devastating loss as we know they would extend their hearts and support to any of us in our community.

Donations are being organized and collected by Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal M.I En las manos de Dios on behalf of our Pastor Joey Lugo’s family. 100% of monetary proceeds will be given to the family for housing, clothing, food, school supplies, baby supplies, and other necessities that will help the family to persevere and move forward. The Lugo family deeply appreciates any and all blessings as well as support during this time.
