We are raising funds for our family during an unexpected emergency. For the past 3 years, we’ve been living in a very old basement suite where ongoing flooding from the tenants above has created mould and serious health challenges. It’s been difficult, but we’ve done our best to push through for the sake of our kids.

Recently, a new home opened up, and to our surprise—and relief—we were approved to move in. This is a huge step toward giving our family a safe and healthy environment. However, the short notice has left us in a tough spot: we now have to pay **rent for two places at once**.

We’ve tried applying for help through the banks, but so far we haven’t had any luck. With only a few days left to come up with what we need, we’re reaching out here, doing everything we can to cover this month’s bills and secure our fresh start.

We are a drug- and alcohol-free family, committed to providing the best we can for our children. My wife has been my biggest supporter while I studied in 2023/2024 to earn the credits needed for BCIT’s Metal Fabricator and Marine Fitter program. I still have two more years of university ahead of me, with the goal of completing in 2027, and this journey has taught us many lessons—above all, the power of love and perseverance.
