We woke up to our son Sebastian yelling that the house was on fire. Tyson ran to it but the smoke was so thick that at that point the fire was unmanageable and things were popping and exploding. Sebastian went safely outside. Meanwhile, I was getting the girls and Dustin (our youngest) out of bed and out of the house. After they were out, I went in and grabbed our dog, Petey.
Everyone got out safely and we cannot be more grateful for this. We cannot imagine if we lost anyone!
The fire Marshall believes the fire was electrical and caused by a Bluetooth speaker which caught Sebastian’s dresser on fire.
99% of our things are destroyed. The house is in ruins. The kids are with grandma and we are moving out whatever we think we may be able to clean. Whatever survived is covered in thick black soot and stinks.
We are not 100% on where we are going to stay at this point but we are lucky enough to have family close by with open doors.
Anybody that that would like to contribute, we would be open arms to it. Normally, we are not ‘ask for help people’ but there are times when you have to put your pride away and ask for help.
Thank you
